What you're still charged if you cancel TRT
Most charges after canceling come from three places: a notice period you missed, an order already being prepared, and months you prepaid. This is what each provider's own terms say about all three.
Read from each provider's own pages on October 23, 2026.
This page covers billing only. Whether and how to stop treatment is a question for your prescriber.
| Provider | Notice needed | After you cancel | Commitment and prepaid months | Refunds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PeterMD | At least 48 hours before the renewal processing date | Auto-renewing plans keep charging until you cancel. | The policy doesn't say what happens to the unused part of a prepaid 6- or 12-month plan. | All purchases are final once medication is received. Damaged or defective items may be replaced, not refunded, if you email a photo and proof of purchase within 24 hours of delivery. |
| TMates | None stated | Not stated | Not stated | Full refund before the medical team reviews your history, or if you don't qualify. No refund once you qualify and a prescription has been sent to a pharmacy; payment plans stay in place if a refund isn't approved. |
| MangoRx | Cancel at least 48 hours before renewal | An order already fulfilled and shipped by the pharmacy can't be cancelled or returned. | None stated | All sales are final. If you don't qualify for treatment, the order is cancelled and refunded in full. |
| Maximus | None stated | With auto-renewal off, the plan ends at the close of its term and you aren't charged again. | A 3- or 6-month plan can't be ended early. There's no refund for the rest of the term, whether you paid upfront or in installments. | Shipped medication isn't refundable, and neither are consultation or lab fees. Damaged or defective orders are replaced if you contact support within 14 days. |
| Henry Meds | None stated | Not stated | On a multi-month plan you may have to pay the rest of the balance, unless a provider decides you can't continue for medical reasons. | Covered by Henry's Refunds, Returns and Replacements Policy; the TRT page doesn't summarize it. |
| PrescribedRX | None stated | PrescribedRX says there are no cancellation penalties or fees. | PrescribedRX says there's no long-term commitment | Covered by PrescribedRX's refund policy, which the cancellation page doesn't summarize. |
| Feel30 | At least 72 hours before your next billing date | Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid cycle, and your access continues until then. There are no partial refunds for unused time. | None; cancel at least 72 hours before a billing date | Medication sales are final. Lab-only purchases aren't refundable once scheduled or performed. |
| Hone Health | None stated | Medication is billed separately from the membership, so confirm both have stopped. | Billed monthly. Hone says you can cancel at any time, though its billing page describes the membership as 1/12 of a $1,620 annual total. | If the physician decides after the first consultation that treatment isn't appropriate, Hone refunds the $135 initial membership fee. |
| GoodLife Health | None stated; cancellation stops billing at the next billing cycle | Medication is billed by the pharmacy, not GoodLife, so check any pharmacy refills separately. | The first two months are a minimum commitment. Once a clinician accepts you, the $598 payment is not refundable except where the law requires. | No pro-rated refunds for partial months. If you are not accepted into care, the $598 hold is released and not charged. |
| Taurus Meds | None stated | Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, with no further recurring charges. | None stated | Membership fees aren't refundable except where the law requires, and neither are shipped medication or blood work. |
| Brightmeds | Not stated | Not stated | 3, 6 and 12 month plans are mentioned; terms not stated | Full refund if you don't qualify or your prescription isn't approved. Otherwise the terms say fees are non-refundable, in whole or in part. |
| Male Excel | None stated | Not stated | Male Excel lists its medication plans as no contract, cancel anytime | Covered by Male Excel's refund policy, which the pricing pages don't summarize. |
| Defy Medical | None stated | Not stated | None | Medication can't be returned or refunded once dispensed. Lab orders are refundable only before the specimen is submitted; after that, store credit minus a $25 fee. Appointments aren't refunded once provided. |
| Fountain TRT | None stated | Not stated | None stated; Fountain says you can cancel at any time | Fountain's terms say the cost of services, including medications, is final and not refundable. |
| Hims | At least 48 hours before your next order date | Canceling doesn't stop an order that is already processing or has shipped. | The plan length you choose | Once the pharmacy has processed an order, Hims says it can't guarantee a refund. |
| Rugiet Health | Changes must be made at least 24 hours before the order is processed | Orders can't be cancelled once the medication has been processed. | Not stated | Not stated. If you aren't approved, the lab payment becomes non-expiring Rugiet store credit rather than a refund. |
Three things to check first
- The next billing date. Notice periods here run from none to 72 hours. Miss it and most providers bill one more cycle.
- Anything already processing. An order the pharmacy has started usually can't be canceled or refunded.
- What you prepaid. Committed plans generally aren't refunded for unused months. Plans that bill upfront
